It’s easy to get comfortable in pain and shame when it’s a societal norm. Those who have “broken free” are an anomaly. When life starts to work in our favor, we might ask, “Am I worthy of this bliss? There is so much suffering on the planet. Why do I deserve this?”
The realization that there will always be more to heal coupled with a commitment to love, leads to more freedom. We can live a whole, perfectly imperfect existence by relating to suffering as a growth opportunity.
